Job Overview

Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses (LPNs/LVNs) are vital members of Covenant Living, the nation’s sixth‑largest nonprofit senior living provider. The role supports assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care units by ensuring quality care through staff monitoring, care planning, daily resident observation, and direct patient assistance. • Assist routine daily direction and monitor the work of nursing assistants, ensuring a high standard of nursing care and satisfactory task completion.
• Help orient new LPNs/LVNs and nursing assistants, reinforcing training standards to maintain high quality care.
• Explain nursing procedures and provide assistance to staff to support ongoing understanding and training.
• Communicate regularly with the Nurse Manager or Director of Nursing regarding observations, problem areas, resident and employee activities, concerns, needs, and conditions.
• Observe and evaluate residents’ health, mental, and emotional conditions; report significant changes to appropriate staff and, when indicated, notify physicians and families according to prescribed procedures.
• Provide direct patient care as appropriate, including procedures such as catheter placement and care, colostomy care, suction, dressings, naso‑gastric tubes, and other treatments.
• Participate in shift reports at the beginning and end, ensuring proper information about residents is communicated.
• Assist in admission, orientation, and observation of new residents, ensuring physician orders for diets, therapy, medication, etc. are transcribed and communicated according to procedure.

• Graduate of an approved school of licensed practical/vocational nursing.
• Current license in good standing as an LPN/LVN in the State.
• One year of nursing experience.
• Devotion to standards and principles of professional nursing.

$33.96 — $47.27 per hour
