Teach undergraduate STEM Business Honors courses, preparing students majoring in science, engineering, math, business, and creative disciplines such as dance, theater, and advertising, for graduate study in business. Instruction covers overview of several business disciplines and the role of these disciplines in business. Instruct students in the development of business models for innovative new products and businesses. Mentor students through virtual study abroad programs and personal and professional development activities.
Work with students and STEM Path to the MBA, CREATE Path to the MBA, and BIZ Path to the MBA programs to develop potential startups. Will teach 12 credit hours per semester.
The Culverhouse College of Business at the University of Alabama invites applications for a non‑tenure earning, three‑year renewable position in STEM Business Honors effective August 16, 2026.
Required qualifications and responsibilities include:
- Ability to mentor young people, interact with graduate faculty, and work with business executives from STEM, creative, and traditional industries.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; creativity, prioritizing, and strategic thinking.
- Identify commercialization opportunities for intellectual property and related business opportunities.
- Strong team and student management skills; substantial business experience.
- Mentor undergraduate students and collaborate with faculty and industry supporters.
- Renewable at the discretion of the University with no expectation of continued employment beyond the contract period.

Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in science, engineering, business, or creative discipline and Master’s degree in a business discipline.
Preferred QualificationsAt least 5 years of work experience in science, engineering, creative industries, or business.
