BCAS - Assistant/Associate Professor in Quantitative Psychology

The Psychology Department at the University of Alabama announces an opening for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor with expertise in quantitative methods to begin August 2027, pending Board of Trustees approval. Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. in psychology. Applicants with backgrounds in clinical or experimental psychology are welcome to apply. Preferred qualifications include a record of achievement in research and teaching, and a successful publication record in advanced quantitative and statistical methods, which can include psychometrics and measurement, latent-variable and structural equation modeling, longitudinal and intensive longitudinal methods, multilevel modeling, causal inference, Bayesian methods, computational modeling, and machine-learning approaches.

Responsibilities include maintaining an active program of research, pursuing external funding, teaching undergraduate and graduate quantitative courses, mentoring students, and providing methodological leadership and collaboration across the department.
