University of Alabama is hiring an Assistant Professor/Associate Professor of Instructional Technology. The role sits in the Department of Educational Leadership, Policy and Technology Studies, pursuing research and teaching on the educational applications of AI in teaching, learning, instructional design, and educational research. Faculty in this position supervise graduate students, design and teach undergraduate and graduate courses, and contribute to the department's growing instructional technology program.

- Supervise master's and doctoral students and guide their research activities.
- Design and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats.
- Pursue external funding to support ongoing research.
- Provide leadership on technology initiatives across the state.
- Chair or serve on dissertation committees and help administer the program at the Associate rank.
- Doctoral degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Learning Sciences, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated record of scholarship and excellence in both online and face-to-face postsecondary teaching.
