# Medication Technician## Regency Retirement Village of Tuscaloosa## Tuscaloosa, AL## #### aWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Technician to join our team in providing exceptional care in an assisted living environment.  The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medication administration and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents.  Thisrole requires a blend of clinical skills, empathy, and the ability to work effectively with individuals with varying abilities.

Duties:

Administer medications to residents as prescribed, ensuring compliance with all regulatory guidelines.

Maintain accurate medication records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Monitor residents for any side effects or adverse reactions to medication and report findings to nursing staff.

Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans.

Provide support and care for individuals with disabilities, fostering a supportive environment.

Utilize electronic health record systems such as Epic for documentation and communication purposes.

Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in medication administration.

Experience:

Certification as a Medication Technician is required.

Previous experience in Assisted Living.
