Must have
- Bachelors degree and some experience in web development.
- Proficiency in relational databases (e.g., MySQL) and SQL queries.
- Familiarity with Linux virtual machines and SSH.
- Experience with JavaScript, Angular, React, NodeJS, jQuery, HTML, CSS, JSON, PHP, and Word Press/Omeka.
- Skills in managing projects and repositories with a version control system (e.g., Git Hub).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Willingness to learn new skills and technologies as project requirements evolve.
- Ability to work collaboratively with developers to facilitate a smooth development process.
- (Preferred) Experience with Word Press or Omeka platforms, including theme and plugin development.
- (Preferred) Understanding of web accessibility (WCAG
2) and SEO best practices. - (Preferred) Knowledge of web performance enhancement techniques.
- (Preferred) Familiarity with CSS preprocessors like SASS or LESS.
- (Preferred) Advanced understanding of JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue.js.
- (Preferred) Experience with migrating websites to Word Press and/or Omeka CMS platforms.
- (Preferred) Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
- (Preferred) Experience in Linux command line and system administration.
- (Preferred) Experience in developing and deploying an automated CI/CD pipeline.
- Write and maintain standard front-end and back-end code for websites and web applications.
- Utilize specialized knowledge of web code standards and frameworks to create complex and dynamic websites and applications.
- Build and sustain websites, functionalities, and workflows using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and other development frameworks and tools.
- Collaborate closely with the Technical Development Librarian and the development team.
- Work within a hybrid team environment to achieve project goals under supervision.
