Accessible Technology Coordinator - Temp

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accessible Technology Coordinator to help ensure our online courses meet accessibility standards under Title II ADA and WCAG 2.1 AA. This entry‑level role will focus on using provided tools to identify and remediate accessibility issues in course content. Training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities
  • Run accessibility checks in Canvas LMS using integrated tools such as YuJa Panorama and Cidi Labs Design Plus Accessibility Checker.
  • Apply simple fixes to documents and course content (e.g., add alt text, adjust headings, check color contrast).
  • Follow step‑by‑step remediation workflows provided by the team.
  • Assist with captioning and video accessibility tasks in Kaltura.
  • Maintain logs of completed tasks and report progress to the Director of Instructional Technology.
Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Communications, Computer Science, Educational Technology, or a related field and one (1) year of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for the education requirement.

Required Skills
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new platforms quickly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint).
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Acrobat for PDF editing.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes.
Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with Canvas LMS (or other learning platforms).
  • Experience with video platforms such as Kaltura.
  • Understanding of accessibility principles (training provided).
