Mainframe Access Control Engineer : RACF

Job Overview

Information Security Engineer II. Focus on protecting the organization’s mainframe environment through development and enforcement of security controls, policies, and procedures. Remote within the United States (except California).

• Develop security of electronic information and establish security systems, policies and procedures to prevent system compromise or infiltration.
• Develop and implement standards for secure checkpoints and encryption methods.
• Investigate, recommend and monitor implementation of new security products and services. Serve as a central point of contact for internal and external customers on security issues.
• Follow up on security findings from security‑related reviews and other third‑party reviews.
• Use access control facilities and Job Control Language (JCL) to develop reports, research and analyze job flow, and troubleshoot.
• Investigate, recommend, and monitor file transmission.
• Participate in project meetings and collaborate with other departments to ensure security of the mainframe environment and scheduler.
• Monitor and evaluate internal and external mainframe users.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience with z/OS mainframe.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience administering Mainframe Access Control (RACF).

• Programming knowledge in Rexx or CARLA.
• Familiarity with mainframe z/OS tools such as IBM TW Job Scheduler, 3270 Emulator, and JCL.

Salary range is $64,450–$100,000, determined by location and experience. This role is remote within the United States, except in California. The position may require an on‑site interview or onboarding.
