Purpose of the Position

Under general supervision, this role designs, builds, and maintains scalable digital solutions that improve procurement transparency, supplier readiness, and operational decision‑making across North America. The Data Analyst operates transforming business requirements into robust data pipelines, automations, analytics, and BI tools aligned with MBUSI and MP Germany standards. This role enables dashboards that support decisions affecting ~$1B PM/MLV spend and influences supplier readiness across 200+ suppliers in USMCA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Engineering & Architecture — 20%
    Build and maintain data pipelines (ETL/ELT) using SQL, Python, and Databricks; integrate internal systems (SAP, procurement, SQE, logistics) and external sources (supplier portals, APIs). Document data lineage, schema, and definitions to ensure transparency and reuse.
  • Software & Automation Development — 15%
    Design and develop automated workflows and services using Python, Power Automate, and Power Apps to reduce manual effort, improve data accuracy, and ensure reliable refresh cycles with monitoring, logging, and alerting.
  • BI & Advanced Analytics — 15%
    Develop datasets, semantic models, dashboards, and KPIs in Power BI covering supplier performance, contract effectiveness, AVOB, future sourcing, localization/RVC, capacity readiness, and cost initiatives. Apply analytical methods such as trend analysis, forecasting, and anomaly detection where applicable.
  • Data Governance & Quality — 10%
    Execute data governance standards for accuracy, access control, security, retention, and auditability. Monitor data quality KPIs, resolve defects, and align with IT, Cybersecurity, and Compliance functions to ensure policy adherence.
  • Project & Agile Delivery — 20%
    Serve as a technical project manager within Agile/Scrum frameworks. Refine backlog items, estimate effort, coordinate sprints, manage risks, align stakeholders, track progress, and deliver incremental digital solutions that provide measurable business value.
  • Cross‑Functional & Global Collaboration — 10%
    Translate requirements from Procurement, SQE, Capacity, Logistics, Finance, Legal, and global digitalization hubs (Germany, India, Mexico). Ensure alignment with global architecture and contribute to governance‑ready documentation, decision papers, and project committees.
  • Operations, Support, and Documentation — 5%
    Ensure operational stability of all tools and data products, respond to incidents, and maintain up‑to‑date technical and functional documentation required for audits and knowledge transfer.
  • Safety, Compliance & Other Duties — 5%
    Perform work in compliance with MBUSI safety rules and regulations. Complete required training and carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
  • Metrics and KPIs
    • Ensure leadership receives clear, accurate, and actionable insights by maintaining dashboards and reporting with ≥98% data accuracy and delivering all critical reports within defined KPI timelines.
    • Data accuracy ≥ 98% for critical datasets.
    • Refresh success ≥ 99% for automated pipelines.
    • On‑time delivery ≥ 90% of sprint commitments.
    • Uptime ≥ 99% for key dashboards.
    • Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR) ≤ 24 hours for data incidents.
    • Documented manual hours eliminated through automation.
    Safety

    Perform safe work practices and participate in trainings and safety programs in a positive and proactive way by following safety rules, procedures, regulations, standards and laws. Report all unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and injuries to management, including your supervisor, or the Safety Department. Work safely 100% of the time. Perform other duties as required.

    Qualifications

    Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related area, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional experience in automotive environment, complex information systems and end‑user support, full lifecycle development, database design, optimization, administration, project management, cross‑functional delivery, automation, reporting, and data solutions…
