Job Summary:

The Workday Business Analyst II gathers, documents, and analyzes business requirements for Workday configuration changes, security updates, and cross-application process improvements. Translates business needs into clear, functional specifications and configuration requirements for review. Conducts gap analyses between current system capabilities and desired business outcomes. Recommends solutions aligned with institutional standards. Participates in testing activities, including test case development, execution, and defect documentation for system changes and enhancements.

Facilitates requirement workshops, working sessions, and stakeholder interviews to ensure accurate capture of business needs. Participates in audit preparation and compliance reviews by providing process documentation and analysis support.

Required

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience supporting or working with Workday or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems; OR master's degree and some experience supporting or working with Workday or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

Skills and Knowledge:
Demonstrated ability to document business requirements, process flows, and functional specifications. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proficiency with standard business tools including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or higher in business administration, information systems, or a related field and four (4) years of business analysis, systems analysis, or related analysis experience. Experience with Workday or another enterprise SaaS ERP platform (e.g., Salesforce, People Soft, Banner). Familiarity with ERP configuration, security roles, or cross-functional business process design. Experience working in a higher education or large, complex organizational environment.

IIBA ECBA certification or equivalent business analysis credential. Exposure to change management, project management, or SDLC methodologies.
