Position: Endpoint Software Configuration Management Engineer (Lead Associate)

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with ability to pass and obtain a poly clearance.
  • Minimum of5years relevant experience with aBachelor’sdegree (Master’sdegree and3years of relevant experience or PhD with0years relevant experience).
  • Proficiency in version control systemscrucialfor tracking changes and managing code across multiple environments.
  • Familiarity with automation tools to streamline release,deploymentand configuration management processes.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to customers and senior leaders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI with Poly clearances.
  • CISSP or Security+ Certification.
  • Deep understanding of infrastructure as code principles and the use of technologies such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or Salt.
  • Knowledge of Apache web server administration.
  • Knowledge of identity management solutions such as Oracle IAM or RH-SSO (Keycloak) is a plus.
  • Experience with load balancing technologies such as HA Proxy is a plus.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelinesutilizing

    Jenkins is a plus.
  • Familiarity with container orchestration and VMWare is a plus.
SECURITY CLEARANCE:

This Positionrequiresan Active TS/SCI and the ability to obtain a Poly, US Citizenship is required tohold this clearance.

Peratonis seeking an experienced

Endpoint Software Configuration Management Engineer to join our national intelligence program that delivers engineering, application development, deployment, operations, upgrades and sustainment of products and services to achieve our client’s global

Enterprise IT Infrastructure missions.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, analyze, andmaintaintools that support and automate processesforhardware or software product release.
  • Write installation scripts and programs for installation of products.
  • Work with project teams to determine appropriate buildschedulesand theninitiatethe build and packaging process.
  • Compile and assemble software from source code.
  • Ensure tools are stored in source control.
  • Support developers for software package registry and delivery.
  • Work with others to complete analysis, evaluations, and design alternatives and to implement process improvements.
  • Work with development engineers to correct build errors.
  • Manage source code repositories and ensure adherence to version control best practices.
  • Automate thesoftwarebuild, test, and deployment processes to enable continuous integration and continuous delivery.
  • Design and implement release pipelines to ensure smooth and reliablesoftwarerollouts.
  • Train and mentor team members on thesoftwarebuild and continuous integration process and tools.
  • Support new application features andmaintainenvironments.
  • Serve as gatekeeper, ensuring that code transitions smoothly from development to operational environments, whilemaintainingconfiguration control,integrity and reliability of the product.
  • Work jointly with engineering,operations and quality assurance to ensure that software builds are created, tested, and deployed efficiently and reliably to meet schedules and dependency requirements.
  • Maintain documentation related to release procedures, configurations, and modifications.
  • Develop and enforce policies for hotfixes and emergency releases.
  • Track and report on release metrics to assess performance andidentifyareas for improvement.
  • Facilitate communication across teams and stakeholders to keep everyone informed about release statuses and timelines.
  • Manage environment configurations, including deployment and rollback procedures for multiple environments.
  • Stay current with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to continuously refine and improve the release process.
