- Perform daily system monitoring, operations, and maintenance of C2
BMC systems in a 24/7 operations and test environment - Provide first-level technical support to the warfighter
- Perform initial troubleshooting of local C2
BMC hardware, software, and network issues - Document and report all events and issues to the C2
BMC Watch Officer (CWO) - Receive tasking and direction from the CCC for operations, test, and real-world events
- Assist with hardware and software installations as directed by local Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
- Create and maintain user accounts as directed by the local Information System Security Officer (ISSO)
- Perform other duties and assignments as required
- Security Clearance:
Secret - Must possess a DoD 8140 certification at the IAT Level II or higher:
Security+ CE, SecurityX, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CASP+ CE, or CISSP - Must maintain the required DoD 8140 certification for the duration of the contract
- Minimum active DoD Secret clearance required
- Sound background and experience supporting operations and maintenance of large-scale computer and communications systems/network environments
- Sound background and experience in system and/or network administration, including UNIX, Linux, Windows, Cisco, and Juniper environments
- Sound background and experience troubleshooting hardware and software components
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Entry-level to experienced candidate with an advanced degree and 0–1+ years of experience, bachelor's degree and 0–3+ years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with and knowledge of the C2
BMC System or Missile Defense Systems preferred - Active TS/SCI clearance preferred
- Rotating 24/7 shift work, including occasional substitute coverage on nights and weekends
Demonstrates expertise in system and network administration, particularly in UNIX, Linux, Windows, and Cisco environments, while providing technical support and troubleshooting for large-scale computer and communications systems. Maintains required DoD 8140 certifications and security clearances to ensure operational readiness in a 24/7 environment.
