Security Engineer

Design, maintain, and secure endpoint and network architectures
Build tailored security automations and tools to optimize detection and response capabilities
Implement engineering best practices
Help resolve production-level security matters
Maintain thorough and up-to-date technical documentation
Participate in collaborative design reviews
Provide mentorship to colleagues
Align with the latest compliance and industry standards
Secure Shipt's applications, endpoints, and cloud infrastructure
Assist engineering teams in implementing cybersecurity best practices

• 3+ years of network or endpoint security architecture and administration experience
• Prior experience in IT roles such as network or systems administration
• Experience with macOS endpoint management and security in an enterprise environment
• Experience creating detailed documentation and architectural diagrams
• Experience with endpoint security technologies such as EDR, Privileged Access Management, and DLP
• Experience automating reporting and other tasks using security tool APIs and/or Python, JavaScript, Go, or Bash
• Experience with a broad range of technologies, operating systems, and networking concepts
• Strong knowledge of networks, compute architectures, and technology stacks
• Experience with SIEM platforms and log analysis tools
• Foundational knowledge of responsible use of AI and LLMs in security
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as NIST CSF, PCI, SOC2, and HIPAA
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Demonstrates expertise in network and endpoint security architecture, with a strong focus on implementing cybersecurity best practices and compliance with industry standards. Proficient in creating detailed documentation and automating security processes using various programming languages.
