- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain computers, operating systems, software, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, email, network, and peripheral equipment issues.
- Provide helpdesk support and assist employees with technical questions and problems.
- Maintain desktops, laptops, network equipment, cabling, telephone systems, and audiovisual equipment.
- Assist with LAN/WAN network maintenance, including routers, switches, firewalls, and related equipment.
- Assist with network security, backups, system maintenance, and HIPAA compliance.
- Maintain IT equipment and software inventory and enforce technology standards and policies.
- Provide basic technical training and support to end users.
- Coordinate with outside vendors and service providers when necessary.
- Perform other IT-related duties as assigned by the IT Director or Network Administrator.
- Minimum of two years of college-level coursework or training in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, plus two years of experience/knowledge with desktop PCs and basic network troubleshooting — or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and peripherals, including CPUs, servers, monitors, cables, network systems, printers, modems, fax machines, and telephone systems.
- Experience with Active Directory, including adding/removing user accounts and mailboxes.
- Experience installing and maintaining Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office products.
- Experience deploying and maintaining client/server antivirus programs.
- Knowledge of Windows Server and Exchange Server is a plus.
- Knowledge of monitoring and maintaining LAN (Local Area Network) and WAN (Wide Area Network) systems.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with the public, coworkers, supervisors, and executive management.
