About the Role

The General Maintenance position within the Accommodation and Food Services industry is pivotal in ensuring that all facilities and equipment operate efficiently and safely to provide a comfortable environment for guests and staff. • High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in general maintenance or a related field, preferably within the accommodation or food service industry.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry systems.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.

• Technical certification or vocational training in maintenance, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC.
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations relevant to accommodation and food service environments.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
• First aid and CPR certification.

• Conduct regular inspections of building systems and equipment to identify maintenance needs and potential hazards.
• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and structural elements to ensure optimal operation.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and management, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and impact.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and inventory of supplies.
• Collaborate with external contractors and vendors when specialized repairs or services are required.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities.
• Assist in setting up and maintaining equipment and facilities for special events or operational changes.
