Position OverviewWe are hiring a Porter to assist in carrying out the maintenance processes of the property, including corrective, preventative, routine, and cosmetic maintenance. The Porter works under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Community maintenance, including cleaning, trash removal, and general maintenance of grounds, buildings, breezeways, and common areas.
- Respond to resident/management requests and work orders promptly.
- Ensure all repairs and replacements are completed in a timely manner.
- Inspect grounds and facilities daily to identify, minimize, and correct hazardous conditions.
- Assist in maintaining a preventative maintenance program.
- Follow Asset key policy and OSHA guidelines.
- Maintain an organized maintenance shop and promote safe work practices.
- Participate in unit inspections and report observed violations to supervisors.
- Utilize property resources, equipment, and supplies economically.
- Perform additional tasks requested by Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.
- Participate in on‑call emergency at the community.
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain resident relations.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Basic computer skills to use on‑site software.
- Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
- Regularly move around to accomplish tasks and traverse flat and uneven terrain.
- Elevate, descend ladders, stairs, ramps, and step stools; reach, lift or move objects up to 100+ lbs.; operate motor vehicles and golf carts.
- Work outdoors in variable weather; work overtime, weekends, and on‑call nights.
$16 per hour to $18 per hour
BenefitsCompensation decisions are based on skill set, background, training, certifications, etc. Employees receive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, accidental and disability insurance, 401(k) with employer matching, and commission and performance bonuses when applicable. Full‑time employees also receive paid sick days and company holidays.
