Dialysis Registered Nurse – Days
Specialty: RN – Dialysis Start Date: 03/16/2026 (or 03/09 if compliance completed by 02/25) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Guaranteed Hours: 36 (36 or 48 accepted) Experience Required: 2+ years RN experience, including 1+ recent year in dialysis
Position Overview- Day‑shift Dialysis RN assignment
- Must be willing to float to other units and other hospitals
- Every other weekend required
- Holidays as needed
- Dialysis services provided at two campuses with varying schedules
- Includes hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and bedside treatments
Regional Campus (4th Floor)
- Hours:
Monday–Saturday, 06:30–19:00 - Call:
Sundays + after‑hours - 8 dialysis bays
- Bedside dialysis available
- Peritoneal dialysis available
Northport Campus (Main Floor)
- Hours:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday - Call:
Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday + after‑hours - 5 dialysis bays
- Bedside dialysis available
- Peritoneal dialysis available
- RNs and Certified Dialysis Techs
- Team prepares and performs dialysis treatments for inpatients across the system
- Meditech
- AHA BLS (or Red Cross equivalent)
- Active Alabama or Compact RN license
- No temporary licenses accepted
- 2+ years RN experience overall
- 1+ recent year of dialysis experience
- Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
- Hemodialysis setup and monitoring
- Peritoneal dialysis
- Bedside dialysis
- Vascular access care
- Patient assessment and monitoring
- Strong time‑management and autonomy
- Shift: 07:00–19:00
- Weekends: Every other weekend
- Holidays: As required
- Floating: Required to units and hospitals within the system
- Scrub Color: Solid navy
- Professional appearance required
- Calm, organized, and detail‑oriented
- Strong communicator
- Comfortable working independently
- Adaptable to changing patient needs and locations
