- Position: Travel Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) – Acute Care
- Employment Type: Travel Contract (On-site)
- Location: Tuscaloosa, AL 35401 (Alabama travel nursing job)
- Start Date: 03/16/2026
- End Date: 05/17/2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00–07:00)
- Hours: 36 hours/week guaranteed (option to work 48 hours/week)
- Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend; holidays as required
- Float: Must be willing to float to other units and hospital locations as needed
- EMR: Meditech
- Dress Code: Solid Navy scrubs
- Parking: Available

- License: Active Alabama RN license or compact RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
- Certifications: BLS (AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS)
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
- Experience: 2 years of RN experience overall, including at least 1 year of recent dialysis nursing experience (acute dialysis preferred)
- Skills: Ability to read, write legibly, speak, and comprehend English
- Provide safe, high-quality acute dialysis nursing care, including hemodialysis and support for bedside dialysis and peritoneal dialysis as needed
- Monitor patients throughout treatment, assess responses, and escalate changes in condition appropriately
- Collaborate closely with Certified Dialysis Technicians (CDTs) and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate treatments and patient needs
- Support coverage across multiple dialysis locations and units based on daily operational needs
- Document assessments, treatments, and patient responses accurately in Meditech EMR
- Follow infection prevention, safety, and unit protocols to maintain a clean, compliant, patient-centered care environment
