• Unit/Setting: MS/Tele Renal 4S (Renal Unit)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (travel contract)
• Start Date: 03/30/2026
• End Date: 06/14/2026
• Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Shift Duration: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours per Week: 36 (may accept 36 or 48 hours/week)
• Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend; holidays as required
• Float Requirement: Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed
• EMR: Meditech
• Dress Code: Solid navy scrubs
• Parking: Available
• Estimated Weekly Pay Range: $1,840 – $1,940

• Experience: 2 years of RN experience preferred (may be considered with 18 months); must have at least 1 year of recent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry
• License: Active Alabama RN license or Compact RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Certification: BLS (AHA or Red Cross)
• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
• Renal nursing experience: Post-hemodialysis care and ongoing peritoneal dialysis experience/interest strongly preferred

• Provide safe, evidence-based inpatient nursing care to renal and medically complex patients in a Med/Surg Tele environment
• Monitor telemetry, recognize and escalate changes in patient condition, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team for timely interventions
• Perform post-hemodialysis assessments and support ongoing peritoneal dialysis care per unit protocols
• Maintain a typical 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio while prioritizing patient safety, quality outcomes, and patient-centered care
• Coordinate care with nephrologists, hospitalists, and interdisciplinary team members to support the full patient journey
• Document accurately and efficiently in Meditech EMR and follow all clinical, compliance, and safety standards
• Float to other units/hospitals as needed to support staffing and patient care needs
