Travel MICU Registered Nurse (RN) — Tuscaloosa, AL. 13-week travel nursing assignment for experienced ICU RNs; 12-hour day shifts; ACLS/BLS required.

We are seeking experienced, compassionate Registered Nurses (RN), including travel RNs and ICU RNs, to provide high-acuity adult critical care in a collaborative and supportive environment. • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,680–$1,770 per week
• Location: Tuscaloosa, AL 35401 (Tuscaloosa healthcare / Alabama nursing jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nurse / Travel RN)
• Unit: Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) — 16-bed high-acuity unit
• Duration: 13 weeks (March 30, 2026 – June 28, 2026)
• Shifts: 12-hour days (07:00 – 19:00)
• Hours per Week: 36 (option for 48 hours per week available)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Schedule: Every other weekend and holidays as required
• Parking: Available on site
• Dress Code: Solid navy scrubs

• Associate degree in Nursing (required)
• Active Registered Nurse license in Alabama or compact state (no temporary licenses accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience preferred; will consider candidates with at least 18 months of RN experience including 1 year of recent MICU/ICU experience
• Required certifications: AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, AHA NIHSS (or Red Cross equivalents)
• PALS certification preferred if working in pediatric units
• Ability to float to other units and hospitals as needed (flexible travel nurse assignment)
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR system is a plus

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to adult patients in a 16-bed high-acuity MICU
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams (physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists) to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment using standard EMR documentation
• Administer medications, perform interventions, and provide patient and family education
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients and staff and adhere to regulatory standards
• Float to other units or hospitals as required to meet patient care needs
• Follow hospital policies, procedures, and best practices in critical care nursing
