Travel ER RN opportunity in Tuscaloosa, AL — 13-week nights at a Level III Trauma Center & Level II Stroke Center. Join a collaborative Emergency Department team delivering acute, compassionate care in a high-volume setting.

• Setting: Emergency Department (54-bed; Level III Trauma & Level II Stroke Center)
• Assignment Type: Travel RN (13 weeks)
• Start / End Dates: March 30, 2026 – June 28, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00–07:00); 36 hours/week (option for 48 hrs)
• Schedule: Every other weekend and holidays as required
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,680 – $1,770 per week

Work in a busy Emergency Department treating over 60,000 patients annually. Ideal for experienced ER and trauma nurses, travel nurses, and those seeking acute care and stroke center experience in a vibrant college town community.

• Associate Degree in Nursing (minimum)
• Active Registered Nurse license in Alabama or a Compact State (no temporary licenses accepted)
• Minimum 2 years RN experience (will consider 18 months with at least 1 year recent ER experience)
• Required certifications:
  • AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • AHA PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • NIH Stroke Certification
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred (EMR documentation, triage, and charting skills)
• Willingness to float to other units and hospitals within the system as needed

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced ED (emergency nursing, acute care, trauma nursing)
• Respond to trauma and critical care situations; maintain appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios (1:1 for critical/trauma; 1:3–4 for other patients)
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and multidisciplinary support staff to coordinate patient care
• Triage, assess, and prioritize emergency presentations including stroke, trauma, cardiac, and pediatric emergencies
• Document care accurately and timely using Meditech EMR (electronic medical record)
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and dress code (solid navy scrubs)
• Float to other units and hospitals as required; work scheduled weekends and holidays
