This travel nurse assignment places you in a 36-bed pulmonary telemetry unit caring for patients with a range of respiratory disorders and acute pulmonary conditions. • Position: Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) / Travel Nurse
• Location: Tuscaloosa, AL 35401 — Tuscaloosa healthcare opportunity
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (March 30, 2026 – June 28, 2026)
• Setting: Pulmonary / Med-Surg Telemetry Unit (36 beds) — pulmonary telemetry nurse role
• Shift: 12-hour days (07:00-19:00), every other weekend and holidays as required
• Hours per Week: 36 (option for 48 hours/week)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,840 - $1,940 per week
• Dress Code: Solid navy scrubs
• Parking: On-site parking available
• EMR: Meditech (electronic medical record experience preferred)

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or Compact State RN license (no temporary licenses accepted)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification or Red Cross equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferred; will consider candidates with at least 18 months of experience, including 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry or acute care experience
• Experience with cardiac telemetry monitoring, respiratory patient care, and clinical assessment
• Willingness to float to other units and hospitals as needed — adaptable travel nurse for healthcare staffing needs

• Provide high-quality Med/Surg and telemetry nursing care to patients with respiratory disorders, lung disease, and acute pulmonary conditions
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and respiratory data, initiating timely interventions and escalating changes in patient condition
• Perform thorough patient assessments, medication administration, and nursing procedures per hospital policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, care management, and pharmacy to coordinate patient-centered care
• Maintain a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 while delivering compassionate patient and family education
• Float to other units or hospitals as required to support patient care and staffing needs
• Document patient care accurately and promptly in the Meditech EMR system
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and dress code
