DCH Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse to provide care in the Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CSICU) and Cardiac Stepdown Unit (CSU). The CSICU is a 4-bed critical care unit specializing in the post-operative recovery of cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and other surgical patients requiring advanced hemodynamic monitoring. The CSU is an 8-bed stepdown unit focused on recovery following cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures.

Candidates must be comfortable floating to other units and affiliated hospitals as needed.

Active RN License (Alabama or Compact License)

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required

Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU experience required

Experience with post-operative cardiac surgery patients

Advanced hemodynamic monitoring experience

Strong critical care assessment and intervention skills

Ability to float to other units and facilities as needed

Must meet all facility credentialing requirements

RN License (AL or Compact) – Required

AHA BLS Certification – Required

AHA PALS (if assigned to pediatric populations)

4-bed specialty ICU

Adult and geriatric cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery patients

Complex invasive hemodynamic monitoring

Post-operative cardiac surgical recovery

8-bed stepdown unit

Recovery following cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery

Supported by dedicated cardiovascular educator

Required to float to other units and DCH-affiliated hospitals as needed
