Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 9 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Meditech is preferred.

• 12 months of acute care experience.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Alabama license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program:
Health Trust Program - DCH Health System and no current placement allowed at Program:
Health Trust Program - DCH Health System.

• 6 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program:
Health Trust Program - DCH Health System and no current placement allowed at Program:
Health Trust Program - DCH Health System.

Required Skills/

Experience:

- 2 years experience; however, will consider 18 months of experience, working under the highest level of professional license, and must have 1 year of recent experience in the field of specialty.

Required Credentials:

- No temporary licenses accepted.

- All RNs are required to complete a Cardiac Exam during onboarding. RNs are allowed two attempts and must achieve a minimum score of 80% to pass prior to clearance. ICU and ED RNs will also be required to take an on-site test in addition to the online pre-test.

- Associated degree in nursing.

Unit Details:

- Cares for acute and chronic respiratory conditions including pneumonia, shortness of breath, COPD, and other lung diseases, plus medical patients with GI issues, diabetes, and occasional stroke and surgical patients.

- Daily interdisciplinary rounds.

- Ratios: 1:6 on the medical respiratory unit and 1:4 in the respiratory step-down unit.

Shift & Scheduling:

- Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.

- Holidays as required. Every other weekend.

7 days maximum time off

2 references required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required
