The Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) is an 8‑bed high‑acuity unit that provides complex monitoring and treatment of adult cardiac patients. Patient admission comes from the Cath Lab, ED, and Acute Care areas. Nurses must exhibit a high level of professional competency and collaborate with all disciplines of the care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Working nights on a 3‑day rotation.

• Provide advanced nursing care to adult cardiac patients in the CVICU.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and cardiac telemetry continuously.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, ventilatory support, and manage cardiac monitoring equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, and other allied health staff.
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.

• Associated degree in Nursing (or equivalent).
• Registered Nurse license in the State of Alabama or a compact license; no temporary license accepted.
• Recent experience in cardiovascular or intensive care nursing.
• Certifications required: AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, AHA IHNI, Red Cross first‑aid.
• Preferred certification: PALS (if working in a pediatric unit).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
