DCH-Travel: MS/Tele Respiratory
Respiratory 7N Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals. Will accept 36 or 48 hours per week. HOLIDAYS AS REQUIRED. EVERY OTHER WEEKEND.
Our Medical Respiratory Unit is a 42-bed unit primarily specializing in the care of acute and chronic respiratory conditions. Nurses have a 1:6 ratio and provide care to predominately respiratory patients requiring treatment for pneumonia, shortness of breath, COPD, or other various lung diseases. In addition, this unit will further provide care to a variety of medical patients with GI issues, diabetes, and occasional stroke and surgical patients.
Patients in this area benefit from daily rounds with the entire interdisciplinary team. Additionally, this unit houses an 8-bed respiratory step-down unit with a 1:4 nursing ratio.
Education
- Required:
Associated degree in nursing
Certifications
Required:
AHA BLS OR RED CROSS
Licenses
Required:
Registered Nurse State of Alabama or Compact license (No Temp Licenses accepted)
NURSYS Experience
- Required:
2 years experience; however, will consider 18 months of experience, working under the highest level of professional license, and must have 1 year of RECENT experience in the field of specialty.
