American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele Renal unit position requiring an active AL or compact RN license and prior renal/dialysis nursing experience.

• Work in a 36-bed Renal Unit within a hospital setting
• Care for patients with acute or chronic kidney disease, including those requiring renal replacement therapy
• Specialize in post-hemodialysis and ongoing peritoneal dialysis care
• Maintain a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Collaborate with community nephrologists, family practice providers, and hospitalists
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Work every other weekend
• Holiday coverage required as assigned
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals within the health system
• 36 or 48 hours per week accepted
• Uses Meditech EMR

• Active RN license (State of Alabama or Compact) required - no temporary or pending licenses accepted
• Must be verifiable through NURSYS with no license hits, past or current
• Associate degree in nursing required
• Current BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, though 18 months may be considered if working at the highest level of professional license
• At least 1 year of recent experience in Med/Surg Tele or Renal specialty required

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to renal patients from diagnosis through treatment
• Support a collaborative care model involving multiple specialists to optimize patient outcomes
• Local candidates are welcome to apply at the same rate with no mile radius restrictions
• Solid navy scrubs required per dress code
