American Traveler is hiring an experienced ED RN for a night shift position requiring 2 years of ED experience and TNCC certification at a Level III Trauma Center.

• Hospital-based Emergency Department treating all age groups, staffed 24/7
• 54-bed state-designated Level III Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center
• Treats more than 60,000 patients per year
• Nurse-to-patient ratio ranges from 1:1 for critical/trauma patients to 1:3-4 for other patients
• EMR system used is Meditech
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required as assigned
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals within the health system

• Active RN license, State of Alabama or Compact (no temporary licenses accepted)
• Associate's degree in nursing required
• 2 years of RN experience required
• Current certifications: AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, AHA PALS, and NIHSS or Red Cross equivalent
• TNCC certification required
• NURSYS verification required
• No prior license actions or hits, past or current

• Work as part of a collaborative ED team including physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and support staff
• Solid navy scrubs required as part of dress code
• Required to complete an on-site skills test in addition to an online pre-test
• Virtual orientation includes competency-based training modules
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no mileage restrictions
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
