American Traveler is hiring an experienced ED RN for a night shift travel position requiring an active AL or compact RN license and Level III Trauma Center experience.
Details- Work in a 54-bed Level III Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center Emergency Department treating over 60,000 patients annually
- Care for patients of all ages presenting with a wide range of emergency conditions
- Nurse to patient ratios range from 1:1 for critical/trauma patients to 1:3-4 for other patients
- Uses Meditech EMR system
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Accepts 36 or 48 hours per week
- Required to work every other weekend and every holiday
- Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals within the health system
- Active RN license, State of Alabama or Compact (temporary licenses not accepted)
- Associate degree in nursing required
- Current certifications required: AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, AHA PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale or Red Cross equivalent
- TNCC certification required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience, though 18 months may be considered if working under the highest level of professional license
- Must have 2 years of recent experience in the specialty
- No prior license actions or hits, past or current
- NURSYS verification required
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary ED team including physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and support staff
- Solid navy scrubs required
- On-site testing required in addition to online pre-testing
- Virtual orientation includes competency-based modules
- Local candidates are welcome and accepted at the same pay rate with no mileage restrictions
- Parking available on-site
