American Traveler is hiring an experienced ED RN for a Level III Trauma Center requiring AL or compact RN license and 2 years of ED experience.
Details- Work in a 54-bed Emergency Department that is a state designated Level III Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center
- Treats more than 60,000 patients per year across all age groups
- Nurse to patient ratio ranges from 1:1 for critical/trauma patients to 1:3-4 for other patients
- ED team includes physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and support staff
- Uses Meditech EMR
- Mid shift schedule from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM
- 36 or 48 hours per week accepted
- Required to work every other weekend
- Holiday coverage required as scheduled
- Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals
- Active RN license for the State of Alabama or Compact license required (no temporary or pending licenses accepted)
- Associate degree in nursing required
- Current certifications required: AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, AHA PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale or Red Cross equivalent
- TNCC certification required
- 2 years of RN experience required, with consideration given for 18 months of experience under the highest level of professional license within the specialty
- No history of license actions, past or current
- Deliver emergency medical care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting
- Solid navy scrubs required
- On-site parking available
- Complete an on-site skills test in addition to an online pre-test as part of the onboarding process
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no mileage restrictions
