American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical ICU position requiring 2 years of experience and an active Alabama or compact RN license.

• Work in a 16-bed high acuity Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) providing complex monitoring and treatment for adult patients
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 13-week assignment
• Will accept 36 or 48 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled by facility
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals within the health system
• Uses Meditech EMR (not required for consideration)

• Active Registered Nurse license for the State of Alabama or compact license required (no temporary licenses accepted)
• Nursys verification required
• Associate's degree in nursing required
• Current AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and AHA NIH Stroke Scale certifications required (or Red Cross equivalent)
• PALS certification preferred if working in a pediatric unit
• 2 years of RN experience required, though 18 months may be considered if under the highest level of professional license
• 1 year of recent experience in the specialty required
• No history of license actions, past or current

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes in a high acuity setting
• Focus on delivering safe, secure, and comfortable patient experiences
• Solid navy scrub color required per facility dress code
• All ICU RNs are required to complete an on-site test in addition to an online pre-test
• Virtual orientation includes competency-based modules
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rates with no mile radius restrictions
