American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Tele position on a General Surgery unit requiring 2 years of RN experience and an active AL or compact RN license.

• 32-bed General Surgical unit specializing in postoperative care
• 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required as assigned
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals
• Accepts 36 or 48 hours per week
• Uses Meditech EMR

• Active RN license (AL State or Compact) required, no temporary or pending licenses accepted
• AHA BLS certification required (American Red Cross also accepted)
• Associate degree in nursing required
• 2 years of RN experience required; candidates with 18 months of experience under the highest level of professional license and 1 year of recent specialty experience will be considered
• Trained in postoperative care including pain management, mobility, and bedside procedures

• Collaborate closely with family practice physicians, hospitalists, and surgeons
• Provide postoperative care in a comfortable, healing environment tailored to each patient
• Solid navy scrubs required
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rates with no mile radius restrictions
• Onsite parking available
