Quality Engineer - Manufacturing
SE Alabama
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quality, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering preferred
- 5+ years working in quality and manufacturing and interest in advancement
- Perform internal ISO audits, documents and report findings
- Develop, maintain programs, processes and metrics that support quality initiatives
- Experience with project management, leading projects, planning and scheduling
- Lean principles such as Six Sigma, certification helpful but not required
- Provide supply chain support by developing and maintaining supplier rating systems
- SPC implementation ensuring quality performance and troubleshooting
- Continuous improvements to reduce cost, eliminate process variations and non-conformance
- Create control plans, check lists and define inspection procedures
- Train CNC personnel inspection techniques
- Establish gauging requirements for all products
- Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) activities
- Strong math skills
- Some travel, less than 20%
- ITAR requires a "U.S. Person" (per ITAR 120.15)
