Electrical Technician

Position Summary

We are hiring a QA/QC Electrical Technician to become the go-to electrical quality expert at our growing modular manufacturing operation in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. This is an opportunity for an experienced electrician, lead, or foreman to step away from constant project travel and use hard-earned field knowledge to prevent costly issues before equipment ships.

You will spend approximately 75% of your time on the shop floor and 25% reviewing drawings, records, and quality documentation. Your judgment will directly influence product quality, customer confidence, and successful startup in demanding environments such as healthcare, automotive, data centers, and other mission-critical facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Own final electrical quality verification for modular products before shipment or release.
• Inspect conduit, terminations, grounding and bonding, labeling, panel assemblies, and related electrical installations.
• Validate completed work against single-line diagrams, schematics, panel schedules, bills of material, submittals, specifications, and project requirements.
• Witness electrical testing, confirm that it is completed correctly, and document the results. You will validate the work, not perform the testing.
• Identify nonconformances, hold work when requirements are not met, and help production teams resolve issues before closeout.
• Coordinate clearly with electricians, electrical assembly crews, engineering, operations, management, and the broader quality team.
• Maintain complete, traceable inspection records, redlines, test documentation, and turnover packages in our quality systems.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience, including hands-on installation work and at least two years in a lead, foreman, commissioning, or oversight capacity.
• Project-delivery experience in healthcare, automotive, data centers, or other mission-critical construction environments.
• Strong ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams, schematics, panel schedules, specifications, and related project drawings.
• Working knowledge of the NEC and applicable electrical standards.
• Familiarity with electrical testing methods and equipment, with the ability to witness, validate, and document testing accurately.
• Clear communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to uphold quality expectations while building productive relationships on the shop floor.
• No degree or previous QA/QC title is required. We can teach our quality systems and processes.

This is a fully onsite, standard day-shift position with an expected 45-hour workweek. The base salary range is $55,640 to $73,216, with 10 PTO days, 13 paid holidays, separate sick time, and up to $5,000 in relocation assistance for the right candidate.
