The Postdoctoral Fellow provides for an internship and continuation of scholarly activity and research after achieving the PhD or other doctoral degree under the direction of a senior faculty member who serves as a mentor for the postdoctoral appointee.
Additional Department SummaryThe Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at The University of Alabama is seeking candidates with research interests in neuromorphic computing, IC design, embedded systems, or AI. Successful candidates will hold a terminal degree and demonstrate a record of academic achievement in research. Initial appointments are for one year, with renewal contingent upon demonstration of research productivity and funding.
RequiredMinimum Qualifications
Ph.D. or other terminal degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Candidates must have completed their Ph.D. or have it completed by the start of employment.
Skills and KnowledgeExperience with neuromorphic computing, IC design, embedded systems, or AI.
Preferred QualificationsRecord of publications in related top-tier journals or research conferences. Expertise in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
