Transdev in Tuscaloosa, AL is seeking a C‑Level Diesel Mechanic. Job Overview

This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines across various vehicles and equipment. The mechanic will ensure safety, efficiency, and longevity of our fleet.

• Perform repairs and replacements on diesel engines, ensuring optimal functionality.
• Assist A‑Level and B‑Level Mechanics with advanced diagnostic and repair tasks.
• Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize diesel engine performance.
• Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies.
• Conduct advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
• Perform other duties as required.

• 1 to 2 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
• ASE certifications required; the company provides ASE certification program training.
• Mechanical tool set proficiency.
• Subject to a DOT drug test and physical examination if applicable.

• Ability to work shifts or flexible schedules as needed.
• Work may involve long periods of sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
• Work environment will be a combination of indoor and outdoor settings.

Competitive compensation: minimum $20.45 – maximum $22.56 per hour.

• Vacation: minimum two (2) weeks.
• Holidays: 8 standard holidays.

• Company paid ASE testing, training materials, and boot reimbursement.
