We are looking to hire Application Development professionals to support our Enterprise IT Support Services work at the Army Aviation and Missile Center (AvMC). AvMC is the Army's focal point for providing research, development and engineering technology and services for aviation and missile platforms across the weapons systems life cycle. AvMC's mission is to "deliver collaborative and innovative aviation and missile capabilities for responsive and cost‑effective research, development, and life cycle engineering solutions" to equip the Warfighter with the best technology today and tomorrow.

Responsibilities
  • Provide application development services for systems required to support unique AvMC requirements on both unclassified and classified systems. These services include support for 28 existing and/or new/emerging mission requirements.
  • Provide support for all applications and collaborative service capabilities. These services include support for developing and implementing enterprise and Directorate‑level applications. These services include, but are not limited to, complete life cycle support including planning, analysis, research and development, design, development, integration and testing, implementation, operations and maintenance, information assurance, and final disposition.
  • Responsible for providing modifications and maintenance to all legacy systems, as well as any new software development.
  • Application development shall be performed using Agile and Dev Sec Ops  processes and principles.
  • Design applications that are reliable, efficient in design, easily maintained, and scalable to meet increasing demands.
  • Application development includes writing, testing, executing, and maintaining the application source code.
  • Provide state‑of‑the‑art solutions for functional requirements through development and implementation of both COTS and GOTS software applications. Solutions may be deployed on various operating systems and include both on‑premise and cloud environments.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for the applications to describe program and database design, code logic, coding standards, change package releases, and production monitoring procedures.
  • Develop and maintain applications with a SQL Server backend; ability to modify existing DB schema and propose new tables and data models.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Eight (8) years of prior experience in a similar role.
  • Experience with ASP.NET C#, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap 4.x, ClosedXML (Excel file generation), SQL, database schema design.
  • Experience using Visual Studio (coding), SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), and TFS development tools.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • DoD 8570 Level II/III certification desired.
  • Active security clearance required.
