5+ Years of Commercial Construction Experience Required

CG Jones Construction is a growing commercial general contractor specializing in site development, commercial building construction, underground utilities, and concrete construction. , with an expanding presence in Northeast Mississippi and Southern Tennessee

We are seeking a candidate with 5 or more years of experience in commercial construction
. While previous estimating experience is preferred, we are willing to teach estimating and earthwork to the right individual with a strong commercial construction background.

• Review architectural, structural, civil, and MEP plans and specifications
• Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with project pricing
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations
• Develop bid proposals and project budgets
• Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and company leadership throughout the bidding process
• Maintain organized estimating files and documentation
• Assist with value engineering and budgeting during preconstruction

• 5+ years of commercial construction experience
• Experience working for a commercial general contractor preferred
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and computer skills
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
• Previous estimating experience is a plus but not required
