The Maintenance Technician position supports the plant by checking, inspecting, troubleshooting,repairing, replacing, and maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment.

• Perform periodic, scheduled inspections and checks of equipment to determine whether failures or issues are present and determine how soon the corrections/adjustments may needto be made
• Assemble and disassemble machines to make repairs, perform inspections, and replace withnew items while maintaining safety and production goals in mind
• Troubleshoot equipment to identify root cause(s) and suggest appropriate follow‑up actions
• Identify failed components and determine necessary replacement parts
• Interact directly with production and other plant teammates in a professional manner
• Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to receive work instructions, identify parts that belong to machines, and fully document work performed
• Comply with all safety and environmental protocols relating to operations
• Locate spare parts in the storeroom and follow stock check‑out processes
• Maintain a dedicated toolbox and shared maintenance tools and supplies in an organized manner so that materials can be accessed quickly and reliably
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

Education:
High school diploma

• Basic knowledge of all the following areas:
  Mechanical
  Power Transmission – chains, belts, gearboxes, bearings, brakes, couplings, etc.
  Lubrication – oils, greases, storage and handling, application, etc.
  Hydraulics & Pneumatics – valves, actuators, compressors and pumps, piping and tubing, etc.
  Electrical
  DC Circuits – relays, contractors, power supplies, etc.
  AC Circuits (120V to 480V) – motors, drives, transformers, etc.

• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and perform duties on an elevated platform
• Ability to kneel, bend, reach and stoop
• Ability to read, interpret and utilize drawings and diagrams (electrical, piping, P&)
• Ability to pass a Mobile Equipment test
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time for training and data entry purposes
