Job SummaryThe Program & Research Manager provides day-to-day operational leadership for a federally funded maternal and child health research center. The position coordinates programmatic, research, evaluation, and compliance activities to ensure successful implementation of project aims, adherence to sponsor and institutional requirements, and timely completion of all deliverables.
Responsibilities- Manage daily project operations, timelines, and workflows in alignment with grant objectives and reporting requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of coordination for day-to-day project activities under the direction of the Principal Investigator.
- Organize and support project meetings, trainings, and Community Advisory Board (CAB) activities.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, calendars, and tracking systems across all work plan components.
- Coordinate research activities including participant tracking, data collection, data entry, and data management.
- Implement quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and completeness of research data.
- Prepare summaries and documentation for internal review, evaluation activities, and external reporting.
- Support compliance with institutional policies and sponsor requirements (e.g., IRSA, Uniform Guidance).
- Assist with preparation and submission of progress reports, data reports, and required sponsor deliverables.
- Coordinate with OSP, IRB, Finance, and other institutional offices to support compliance and documentation.
- Provide procurement and logistical support for project activities.
- Facilitate consultant activities, including scheduling, coordination, and tracking of deliverables.
- Assist with coordination of student stipends, training activities, and research engagement efforts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field, public health, business administration, management, or a related discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3‑5 years of experience supporting or managing federally funded research or programmatic projects.
- Demonstrated experience with project coordination, reporting, compliance, and multi‑stakeholder communication.
Sedentary office work with extensive computer use. Occasional standing, walking, and light lifting may be required.
Skills and Attributes- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a grant‑funded environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
