We are actively seeking Board Certified Psychiatrists to provide on-site services at a VA clinic in Tuskegee, Alabama. This opportunity supports veterans across multiple clinic locations within the regional coverage area.
Position Overview:
The Psychiatrist will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment services to veteran beneficiaries. Services are delivered on-site, primarily in Tuskegee, AL, with potential coverage at additional VA clinic locations on a case-by-case basis.
Schedule & Coverage:
• Regular
Hours:
Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
• On-call coverage required
• Nights, weekends, and holidays included as part of rotation
• Services required 24/7/365 to support emergency and mental health care needs
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and medication management
• Develop treatment plans and provide ongoing mental health care
• Respond to urgent and emergent psychiatric needs
• Document services in accordance with federal and VA standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Requirements:
• Board Certified Psychiatrist (ABPN)
• Active, unrestricted medical license
• Ability to work on-site in Tuskegee, AL
• Experience working with complex mental health populations preferred
