Position Title

Assistant/Associate Professor – Aerospace Engineering

The Assistant/Associate Professor position will teach aerospace engineering courses and conduct cutting edge, externally funded research, advise students, and serve on various departmental, college, and university committees.

• Develop curriculum and teach a cross section of undergraduate courses
• Develop and conduct a vigorous, externally funded research program
• Perform academic advisement
• Participate in university, school, departmental, and professional service activities
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering or a closely related discipline
• Expertise in Aerodynamics, Space Mechanics, or Flight Mechanics/Automatic Flight Controls is preferred; other areas of expertise may also be considered

• Ability to operate standard office equipment
• Ability to walk short distances
• Ability to lift and carry parcels, packages and other items
• Ability to view a computer terminal
