- Assistant/Associate Professor
Job Summary
- The Assistant/Associate Professor position will teach aerospace engineering courses and conduct cutting edge, externally funded research. Advise students, and serve on various departmental, college, and university committees.
Essential
Job Duties
- Develop curriculum and teach a cross section of undergraduate courses
Develop and conduct a vigorous, externally funded research program
Perform academic advisement
Participate in university, school, departmental, and professional service activities
Perform other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering or a closely related discipline
Expertise in Aerodynamics, Space Mechanics, or Flight Mechanics/Automatic Flight Controls are preferred, but other areas of expertise may also be considered
Physical Demands
- Ability to operate standard office equipment
Ability to walk short distances
Ability to lift and carry parcels, packages and other items
Ability to view a computer terminal
