Job Summary
- The successful candidate will contribute to the college's tripartite mission of teaching, research, and service, with a primary focus on teaching veterinary students, graduate students, and graduate veterinarians in all aspects of small animal internal medicine. Clinical service responsibilities will be primarily within the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH), providing high-quality, compassionate care for patients while engaging students in hands-on learning.

Job Duties
- Deliver engaging classroom, clinical, and laboratory instruction to veterinary students, graduate students, and interns. Provide expert consultation and clinical service in Small Animal Internal Medicine within the VTH. Limited participation in Emergency/After-hour service, and expected to support the Community Practice Section. Mentor students, interns, and graduate veterinarians, supporting their academic and professional development. Engage in teaching across all four years of the veterinary curriculum, from foundational sciences to advanced clinical practice.
Develop innovative teaching, service, and outreach programs that enhance the Department and College. Participate in collaborative research and creative scholarship at the College, the University, and with external partners. Contribute to community service and outreach consistent with TUCVM's mission, and serving the region through our VTH. Serve on College and University committees and participate actively in departmental initiatives. Expected to attend Department, College, and University meetings.
Pursue professional activities, continuing education and expertise, providing continued support to the College of Veterinary Medicine. Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications - DVM (or equivalent) degree required. ACVIMorECVIM (SAIM) board certification strongly preferred. Candidates who are residency-trained or have significant clinical experience in small animal internal medicine will also be considered. Demonstrated clinical expertise in small animal medicine.

- Should be knowledgeable in both small and large animal radiology. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
