Psychology Assistant/Associate Professor
Job Summary:
Responsibilities include instructing undergraduate and graduate students in psychology courses such as statistics, clinical practice, and social psychology. Advise students on academic progress and supervise research projects. Serve on university committees and assist in managing departmental programs.
The Department of Psychology and Sociology seeks applicants for Assistant/Associate Professor positions in undergraduate course instruction and, potentially, graduate course instruction. In addition, faculty will also advise students, engage in scholarship, and participate in departmental, university, and community activities. The successful candidate will teach 12 credit hours, with the option to supplement research hours from grant participation toward teaching instruction hours.
Preferred Qualifications:
Doctorate or Psy.
D. in Psychology; the subfield is flexible (e.g., Educational, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Cognitive, and Social Psychology or Clinical Psychology); however, candidates must have an earned doctorate with teaching and research interests applicable to experimental and human factors psychology broadly defined and a demonstrated commitment to continued scholarly development. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in data analysis, teaching, and research.
