The College of Engineering is seeking to fill a tenure-track position for an Assistant/Associate Professor in the department of mechanical engineering starting Fall 2026/Spring 2027. The Mechanical Engineering Department is seeking applicants with interest and experience in the areas of Mechatronics, Robotics, and Mechanics.

Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Mechanical Engineering. Advise, encourage, and inspire undergraduate and graduate students. Conduct research and submit highly competitive proposals in their area of specialization. Engage students in hands-on, practical applications of engineering theory. Communicate effectively with a diverse student and faculty population. Contribute to the overall advancement of the department, college, and university. Collaborate with other faculty and staff as needed.

Participate in faculty events as needed. Perform all other related duties as assigned.

An earned Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering. Specialization in the areas of Mechatronics, Robotics and/or Controls, and Mechanics. Ability to teach a broad range of allied Mechanical Engineering courses. Possess knowledge and experience in Advanced Manufacturing.

Excellent written and oral communications skills. Effective use of contemporary technology commonly found in the field of engineering and engineering education.

Exempt. Full-Time.
