Job Summary
:
The College of Engineering seeks to fill a tenure‑track position for an Assistant/Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering commencing Fall 2026/Spring 2027. The successful candidate will have interest and experience in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Mechanics.

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Mechanical Engineering.
• Advise, encourage, and inspire undergraduate and graduate students.
• Conduct research and submit highly competitive proposals in their area of specialization.
• Engage students in hands‑on, practical applications of engineering theory.
• Communicate effectively with a diverse student and faculty population.
• Contribute to the overall advancement of the department, college, and university.
• Collaborate with other faculty and staff as needed.
• Participate in faculty events as needed.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.

• Earned Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering.
• Specialization in Mechatronics, Robotics and/or Controls, and Mechanics.
• Ability to teach a broad range of allied Mechanical Engineering courses.
• Knowledge and experience in Advanced Manufacturing.
