Job SummaryTuskegee University seeks an accomplished and highly collaborative Lead Program Manager to direct the implementation of the University’s Workday Enterprise Resource Planning ( ERP ) system. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Lead Program Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership for one of the University’s most significant transformational initiatives.
The Lead Program Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all phases of the Workday implementation while ensuring alignment with the University’s strategic priorities. Working across administrative and academic divisions, the incumbent will lead cross-functional teams, coordinate implementation partners, manage project governance, oversee organizational change management activities, and ensure successful delivery of the program on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with institutional objectives.
This position requires an experienced leader who can successfully navigate complex organizational environments, build strong relationships with executive leadership and functional stakeholders, and drive institutional transformation through effective program management and collaboration.
Lead the institution-wide implementation of the Workday ERP platform from project initiation through post-production stabilization.
Develop and execute a comprehensive program management strategy encompassing scope, schedule, budget, governance, communications, and resource planning.
Establish and maintain program governance structures, including steering committees, executive briefings, and stakeholder engagement plans.
Coordinate multiple functional work streams, including Human Resources, Finance, Payroll, Procurement, Student Administration, Information Technology, Reporting, Data Conversion, Security, Testing, Training, and Organizational Change Management.
Ensure program objectives remain aligned with the University’s strategic priorities and operational needs.
Provide executive-level reporting, dashboards, performance metrics, and decision support to university leadership.
Qualifications (Education, Experience and Specialized Training)Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Higher Education Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
Minimum of ten (1O) years of progressively responsible experience leading large-scale enterprise programs or transformational initiatives.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing enterprise ERP implementations, digital transformation programs, or similarly complex institutional initiatives.
Physical DemandsAbility to operate standard office equipment for extended periods.
Ability to travel throughout campus to support implementation activities and stakeholder meetings.
Ability to communicate effectively in individual and group settings.
