Summary

We are currently representing a well-established General Contractor seeking experienced Assistant Project Managers to support delivery of critical public infrastructure projects across California. With a strong pipeline of K-12, DSA-regulated, and Public Works projects, this role offers an opportunity to contribute to high-impact work while growing into a future leadership position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing projects from preconstruction through closeout on K-12, DSA, or Public Works assignments
  • Support project managers in coordinating all construction phases to ensure timely, budget-conscious delivery
  • Participate in preconstruction activities such as constructability reviews, estimating, and bid support
  • Help track budgets, prepare cost reports, and support change order documentation
  • Assist with subcontractor procurement, bid evaluations, and contract preparation
  • Monitor project schedules and update timelines with input from field teams
  • Support documentation control, including RFIs, submittals, and meeting minutes
  • Help ensure compliance with safety standards, DSA guidelines, and QA/QC expectations
  • Coordinate communications between the field, project teams, and stakeholders
  • Assist in final closeout activities, including punch list tracking and project turnover
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in construction, preferably on DSA, K-12, or Public Works projects
  • Familiarity with California public contracting procedures and DSA compliance
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to support multiple projects and work collaboratively in team settings
