Senior Stress Engineer

The contractor roles are to support the immediate MRB surge and repair analyses needed to clear discrepant parts and maintain build schedule.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, with a concentration in a relevant Engineering discipline
• 8+ years’ experience structural analysis. Advanced degrees may be considered in lieu of professional engineering experience.
• Experience with structural analysis of aircraft/spacecraft primary and secondary structures
• Experience with structural analysis of composite aircraft/spacecraft structures
• Solid understanding of material properties & behavior, statics / free body diagrams, and structural load paths.
• Knowledge creating and interrogating FEA models, including pre and post processing of NASTRAN models and associated sizing of structure and system components
• Strong teamwork and coordination skills
• Advanced knowledge of the application of finite element analysis with FEMAP
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of tools, including MS Word, Excel, Power Point
• Experience with MRB tasks associated with dispositioning non-conform ant metallic and composite components resulting from manufacturing, assembly, or field operations.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience with HyperX
• Knowledge of and / or experience with Fatigue & Damage Tolerance analysis
